Variety Shac is a monthly show in New York, featuring live comedy and music. It is co-produced by Shonali Bhowmik, Heather Lawless, Andrea Rosen, and Chelsea Peretti. The four perform individually, then premiere a new comedic short film at each show, featuring the entire group as an ensemble (with occasional cameos: Fred Armisen, Andy Milonakis, Ed Helms). The Shac were contributor's to Playgirl's 2006 Humor Issue and were featured in the Time Out New York Student Guide, as well as The Hollywood Reporter's Winter Humor issue, and New York Post's roundup of the best new shows in the New York comedy scene. Their short film, "Slumber Party" was selected for the Brooklyn International Film Festival.
